Ugh, mosquitoes! Just the thought of them makes me shudder. Not only do they buzz around and bite you, but they can also smell you from far away. It’s like they have a sixth sense or something! They can detect carbon dioxide and lactic acid from up to 50 meters away, so if you’re outside, chances are they’ll find you. And let’s not forget about their nasty little diseases that come along with them. Yikes!

Wow, mosquitoes can actually sniff us out! It’s no wonder they always seem to find us - turns out they’ve got special sensors on their antennae that pick up on our sweat molecules. Who knew? -Mosquitoes have an organ called the maxillary palp that helps them detect odors in the air. This organ is sensitive to certain chemicals, such as carbon dioxide and lactic acid, which are released by humans and animals. Mosquitoes use this sense of smell to locate their prey and lay eggs near sources of food.
