Howdy, iam Cindy Sorenson, May your day be joyful.
Woohoo! The state just gave the green light to allow drivers to get their windows tinted as dark as they want. Plus, it looks pretty cool too. So if you’re looking to add some style and shade to your ride, now’s your chance!
What State Allows The Darkest Tint? [Solved]
Wow! In Michigan, you can tint your windshield to any percentage you want. But in seven states and D.C., you’re limited to a lighter tint.
Tint Darkness: Most states have laws that regulate the darkness of tint on car windows. Generally, the darkest tint you can legally use is a VLT (Visible Light Transmission) of 50%.
Medical Exemptions: Some states allow medical exemptions for darker tints, such as for people with light sensitivity or skin conditions that require protection from the sun’s rays.
Windshield Tinting: Most states prohibit any type of tinting on the windshield, except for a small strip at the top of the windshield to reduce glare from overhead sunlight.
Side Mirrors: All states require side mirrors to be installed if rear window tint is applied to vehicles, so drivers can still see behind them when reversing or changing lanes.
Rear Window Tinting: Many states allow up to a 75% VLT on rear windows, but some may restrict it further depending on local laws and regulations.
Enforcement: Law enforcement officers are usually able to tell if your car has illegal window tints by using special light meters and other tools during traffic stops or vehicle inspections
Wow, some states are really loosening up - they’re now allowing drivers to get the darkest tint on their car windows! It’s pretty cool, but you still have to be careful - make sure you check your local laws before you go ahead and get it done.
